It is believed that two men went for an outing and on take-off experienced difficulty, they attempted an emergency landing but on touchdown the plane overturned.<br><br> Paramedics arrived on scene and found that one of the men had sustained serious injuries while the other miraculously escaped uninjured. After stabilising the seriously wounded man he was transported by ambulance to the Netcare Unitas hospital in Pretoria for further treatment.<br><br> <br><br> 2010-03-13 Side - impact accident inures 5 in Midrand http://www.arrivealive.co.za/news.aspx?s=4&i=1600 13 March 2010<br><br> Four paramedics were injured one critically so after a side impact collision on Dale road near the R101 in Midrand this morning just after 06: 00. It is purported that the paramedical staff was traveling to work when an errant vehicle believed to have come from a party crossed their path causing the side impact collision.<br><br> The twisted remains of the vehicle with the medical staff veered off the road after impact and landed in the veld with some of the staff still trapped in the twisted metal. Paramedics arrived on scene and after triaging all the patients, found one of the medics in a critical condition while his three colleagues were seriously injured .The driver of the errant vehicle escaped from this horror accident with relatively minor injuries.<br><br> Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise all the injured and after they were all deftly immobilised the critically wounded medic was airlifted to the Netcare Milpark hospital ,while the other three seriously injured were transported by ambulance to the Netcare Sunning hill Hospital for further treatment.<br><br> The driver of the other vehicle was stabilised on scene and then transported to an area hospital for further medical care.<br><br> 2010-03-13 Pedestrian seriously injured http://www.arrivealive.co.za/news.aspx?s=4&i=1599 12 March 2010<br><br> A man was seriously injured when he was struck by a minibus taxi while crossing Kingsway Road in the vicinity of the Moss Kolnik Road junction in Amanzimtoti, south of Durban, this morning. <br> <br> It is alleged that the man had been midway across the road when he was hit by the taxi, the driver of which was unable to avoid the accident. The man sustained severe lower limb fractures and was found at the roadside by attending Paramedics. He was treated and stabilised at the scene before he was transported by ambulance to the Prince Mandrsquo;Shiyeni Memorial Hospital in Umlazi for further care.<br> <br><br> 2010-03-12 Woman and daughter,15, injured in tow truck smash http://www.arrivealive.co.za/news.aspx?s=4&i=1598 12 March 2010<br><br> A woman was critically injured and her daughter, 15, sustained serious injuries when their car collided with a tow truck on the N3 near the Sherwood off-ramp this evening. <br> <br> It is thought that the mother and child had been travelling along the national freeway when their vehicle slammed into the slow moving tow truck which had reduced speed as traffic calmed. <br> <br> Both were trapped in the mangled remains of their vehicle and Paramedics arrived at the scene to find them still inside the car.
