Two women injured in road crash in Verulam

Two women were injured following an accident on the corner of Vincent Dickinson Road and the R102 in Verulam yesterday afternoon.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the scene by other motorists requesting assistance for the injured. Upon arrival, a 46-year-old woman and an 18-year girl were found to have suffered spinal injuries after the Ford Ranger bakkie they were traveling in crashed into a metal barrier. The two were treated on scene by paramedics before being transported to hospital.

Circumstances surrounding the collision is yet to be established.
