Building evacuated following bomb threat in Sandton

Netcare 911 responded to reports of a bomb threat at an office block on Rivonia Road Sandton.

Reports from the scene indicate an an anonymous person allegedly called the office block to say that a bomb was left in the building.

The building was quickly evacuated and authorities alerted.

The roads around the building was closed to traffic while specialised teams from the SAPS had conducted a thorough search however no explosive material was found.

Authorities will be investigating further.
