Four killed in fiery head-on crash on the R34 between Melmoth and Ulundi

This afternoon at approximately 2pm Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R34 between Melmoth and Ulundi for an accident.

When paramedics arrived they found that a car and a bakkie had been involved in a head-on collision, causing the car to burst into flames.

Sadly the 4 occupants of the car were still in the car and succumbed to the flames. 1 occupant from the bakkie sustained serious injuries and was treated on scene and transported to hospital.

The cause of the accident is unknown, authorities are investigating.
