TMPD officers impounded a Taxi carrying 29 school children today at Mabopane highway near block XX. The Taxi operator was not in possession of a driver's licence.

The taxi owner was also fined for allowing the taxi operator to operate without proper documents as required by the road traffic act 96 of 1996.

The TMPD Chief of Police condemns such behaviour from motorists.

As the Department, we will continue to work very hard to clamp down on unlawfulness on our roads.

Parents are also advised to check on how their children are transported for their safety.
