Emer-G-Med lending a helping hand in tough times

Emer-G-Med as dispatched to an APCAN call where an elderly lady had fallen and injured herself. The Family has put the letter of thanks together for all involved.

I would like to say a very big heartfelt thank you to the staff of Emer-G-Med that assisted us on Friday the 27th of March with my mom, Mrs Preston.

Firstly, from APACAN the security guard that came on the scene after my mom’s neighbour pushed his panic button. (I never got his name, but he got this ball rolling). This after almost 1.5 hours of waiting for a government ambulance and my mom sitting in the middle of a very uncomfortable road in a lot of pain.

Then Bronwyn who was the first responder that assessed my mom and spoke and dealt with her so gently, it was absolutely amazing. Then her assistance in trying to get a government ambulance arranged as well was much appreciated. When I asked her about private transport, she didn’t hesitate to make the necessary calls and get the information I needed to make the decision.

To Alet (if I remember correctly) who was able to give my mom pain meds and assess her further, she too spoke to my mom like she was a long-time friend and it was awesome to see this. Then the two gentlemen who came with the ambulance, their patience and care, even apologizing for the bumpy road in the ambulance on the way to the hospital, a big thank you to them as well!

You have an amazing group of people working in your company and I was totally blessed to have received all of their assistance with my mom!

My mom is still in hospital with a broken hip and they will be operating soon.
