On Sunday, 8 December, REMS Medical responded to multiple community reports regarding a patient found on the sidewalk in Humansdorp, presenting with injuries indicative of head trauma.
REMS paramedics were dispatched to the scene, where they found an unresponsive adult female with head injuries and active bleeding.
Initial information indicated that the patient had fallen from the second floor of a building through a window; however, the precise circumstances surrounding the fall were unclear.
Local SAPS authorities were notified and responded to the scene. REMS paramedics provided on-site care, stabilizing the patient before transporting her to a nearby hospital.
The SAPS is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident, with no witnesses having directly observed the event.
