Mpumalanga MEC urges motorists to be cautious and always be on lookout for pedestrians

Mpumalanga MEC for Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Mr Jackie Macie has once again called on motorists to be cautious and always be on lookout for pedestrians, especially when they drive in build-up areas. 

The MEC was reacting to an incident on D2945 Road between Magudu and Mgobodzi where a Toyota sedan crashed into five pedestrians who were walking on that road at about 11h30 in the morning today (12 January 2025). 

Three people lost their lives at the scene of the crash whilst two sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. 

The deceased include a 54-year-old woman and 14 and 10-year-old children.
