Fatal collision between three vehicles reported on the R102

A devastating crash occurred earlier today on the R102 between Marshall Drive and Phoenix Highway, resulting in one fatality and one injury.

KZNVIP Ambulance Services responded promptly to multiple calls for assistance from passing motorists.

Upon arrival, medics and response units found three vehicles involved in the crash.

One person was entrapped in the wreckage, requiring the fire department's assistance.

The occupant of the Ranger escaped without injury, while the occupants of the Golf and Etios were stabilized on scene before being rushed to medical facilities.

Sadly, the driver of the Etios succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family during this difficult time.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are currently under investigation by SAPS. All emergency services, including KZNVIP Ambulance, were in attendance.
