Two women die in early morning VW Polo crash near Lephalale

Two women were killed in the early hours of Saturday, 19 April 2025, when a Volkswagen Polo TSI overturned on the R518 between Marken and the Shongoane curve.
The vehicle was reportedly en route from Steiloop to Marapong when the driver lost control at approximately 05h00. Three other occupants, including the driver, sustained injuries and were transported to Witpoort Hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency services and Villa Nora police responded promptly to the scene. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
