KZN VIP Emergency services responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on the M4 Ruth First Highway before the Virginia offramp, which left five female occupants with serious injuries.

At approximately 23h45pm, the KZNVIP Emergency Control Centre received multiple reports of a high-impact collision and an urgent call for medical assistance. KZNVIP Medics, together with several other emergency response units, were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, first responders found five injured individuals, two of whom had reportedly been ejected from the vehicle due to the force of the impact. All patients were stabilized on scene by medics and subsequently transported to nearby medical facilities for further treatment.

The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision was not located at the scene, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

KZNVIP would like to extend its gratitude to all responding services for their swift action, and a special acknowledgment goes to Mr. Gary Paul of Netcare911, who heard the crash and rendered immediate assistance in stabilizing the injured.
