Major crash alert outside East London

A major crash occurred this morning, Tuesday, 10 June 2025, on the N2 at the Cintsa Turnoff between Braakfontein and Cintsa, outside East London. The incident involved one Toyota Quantum minibus.
The crash resulted in five(5) fatalities and two (2) injured persons. Preliminary reports indicate that the minibus driver swerved to avoid a fallen tree in the roadway, lost control and went down an embankment.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones affected by this tragedy.
