Armed Suspects Flee Scene With Valuables After Attempted Hijacking In the Clayfield Area, on Wednesday Night.

Around 7pm, Members of the KZN VIP Control Centre received information on social media regarding an Armed Robbery and Attempted Hijacking at Anfield, immediately Response Teams were dispatched.
Upon arrival, KZN VIP Officers made contact with the victim, who was parked in a Blue Renault Sandero. When interviewed, the victim stated that he was waiting to pick up his girlfriend when three (3) Bravo male suspects approached him. Two were armed with handguns.
The suspects demanded the victim’s valuables and vehicle. The suspects then ran toward their getaway car, a silver Honda Civic (registration unknown), taking an undisclosed amount of valuables. The victim’s vehicle was left behind at the scene. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
KZN VIP Response Officers conducted an extensive area search but found no vehicle matching the description provided. Saps was informed of the incident.
