Man suffers severe burns in vehicle fire

A man who sustained severe burn wounds earlier this morning in Wesley Street, in Gardens Cape Town, has been transported to hospital.
It is understood that the vehicle with the man was set alight.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found Fire and Rescue Services on scene. They extinguished the fire.
The man believed to be in his 50’s was removed from the vehicle by Fire and Rescue. Paramedics assessed him and found that he was in a critical condition.
He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Authorities were on scene.
