A man, believed to be in his 30s, escaped serious injury early this morning when his bakkie crashed into an Armco barrier and rolled on the R21 in Kempton Park.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the vehicle in the middle of the road. The vehicle had been completely crushed on the right side.

Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the man seated near his vehicle.

Assessments showed that the man had sustained only minor injuries.

The man was treated for his injuries and was thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

It is understood that the man lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the barriers.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
