Medics unable to identify two killed in shack fire, Eikenhof

Two people have been killed in a shack fire in Dan Pienaar Drive in the Eikenhof area in the South of Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics were notified of the incident by the Midvaal Fire Department.

At approximately 09h13 this morning, paramedics arrived at the scene and waited for the fire to be extinguished. It could not be determined how long the shack had been on fire for.

Once it was safe to enter, ER24 paramedics found two bodies burnt beyond recognition.

Local authorities attended the scene and will conduct an investigation.
