Bike rider killed after colliding with taxi in Bloemfontein

A bike rider, believed to be 34-years-old, has been killed after colliding with a taxi on the corner of President Boshoff street and Park road in the Willows, Bloemfontein this morning.

At approximately 10h30, ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the rider had been knocked into a fence next to the road.

Paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation for about 45 minutes, but unfortunately the man was later declared dead on the scene.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
