One killed four injured in crash on Milky Way Road in Kwa Dangezi Pinetown

One person has been killed and four others injured, one critically so after a vehicle left the roadway crashing down an embankment on Milky Way Road in Kwa Dangezi Pinetown a short while ago.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the single vehicle had overturned coming to rest on its side. The driver a female in her thirties was found entrapped in the wreckage. Paramedics assessed her and found that she had sustained major injuries and there was nothing more they could do for her and she was declared deceased on the scene. Three other men had sustained injuries ranging from major to critical and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a Durban Hospital for the further care that they required. The critically injured man was placed on a manual ventilator on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics.

At this stage, the events leading up to the single vehicle collision are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further
