A 4-year-old boy was left critically injured yesterday afternoon when he was knocked over by a vehicle on Fj Sithole Road in Imbali, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics were called to a nearby clinic where the boy was transported to, allegedly by members of the community.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the child being treated by clinic staff.
Paramedics assessed the boy and found that he had sustained numerous injuries, leaving him in a critical condition.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated, in an effort to stabilize his vital signs.
Once treated, the boy was transported to Edendale Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
The driver of the vehicle, fortunately, escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
