A Female pedestrian left critical in a collision N3 Highway after the Brickfield offramp in Overport, KZN

A woman, believed to be in her 20s, was left critically injured when she was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on the N3 Highway after the Brickfield offramp in Overport, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h20 to find the woman lying on the side of the road. A light motor vehicle was found parked a short distance away.

Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries, leaving her in a critical condition.

The woman was treated for her injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before she was transported to Addington Provincial Hospital for urgent care.

The driver of the light motor vehicle, fortunately, escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
