One killed, two injured in head-on collision in Meyerton

19 May 2018 | From Arrive Alive

One man was killed and two others injured late last night following a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on the Weilbach Street in Meyerton.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 22h00 to find two wrecked vehicles in the middle of the road. Local authorities had already begun to close off the road.
Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a man, believed to be 47-years-old, lying in the driver seat of one of the vehicles. Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
Two other patients were found seated inside the second vehicle. Assessments showed that both patients had sustained moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported by ER24 and Provincial Services to Kopanong Provincial Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
