Man critically injured in Crash

A Man has been critically injured after the vehicle he was in left the M7 Freeway near Winston Churchill offramp and collided into a tree on Friday morning around 10am.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the single vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a tree down the embankment. The driver was severely entrapped and the Jaws of Life had to be used to cut him free whilst Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the man in the vehicle. Once freed the man was carefully extricated from the wreckage before he was transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash is unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
