Tshwane Metro Police saddened by death of member in a motorcycle crash

The Tshwane Metro Police Department is in great shock about the death of an officer in a vehicle accident on Sunday 10 February 2019.

The officer was on duty on his motorbike on the Mabopane Highway when he was involved in an accident at about 17:00.

He was rushed to the nearest hospital where he later passed on.

His identity will be released as soon as we are certain his family has been informed properly.

The department is greatly saddened by and mourns this loss. May the soul of the fallen soldier rest in peace. He will be sorely missed.

We would like to send our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.

His memorial service will be communicated soon.
