A man has been flown to a hospital in a critical condition following a collision on the M19 Westbound near Dunkeld Rd in Pinetown just before 10 am on Monday morning.
Rescue care Paramedics together with Red Line Response arrived on the scene to find that a light delivery vehicle had lost control and overturned before colliding into a truck. A man believed to be in his late thirties was ejected from the vehicle and found a few meters away from the vehicle. He had sustained critical injuries and was stabilised on the scene by Rescue Care Advanced Life Support Paramedics before the Netcare911 Aero medical helicopter was activated to airlift him to a nearby hospital for further care that he required.
Three other men sustained moderate injuries and was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital.
The events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
