Two hospitalised following collision on Northumberland Road in Honeydew.

Two people were hospitalised this afternoon in a collision on Northumberland Road in Honeydew.

At 12h50, ER24, Life Healthcare and another service arrived on the scene to find the two vehicles on the side of the road. One man was found lying trapped inside one vehicle while another patient was walking around.

Medics used specialised rescue equipment to free the entrapped patient. Once released, the patients were treated and transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
