A man was shot during a robbery on Cardham Drive in Phoenix last night (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 22:37 and found the Phoenix SAPS in attendance. Medics treated a man for a single gunshot wound before transporting him to hospital by ambulance.
It is alleged that the victim left his residence on foot and was making his way to meet friends in the area when he was accosted by two suspects. One of the suspects shot the 38-year-old in his right buttock before they robbed him of his cellphone and wallet.
The robbers then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
