Man Shot In Unprovoked Attack: Waterloo - KZN

A 46-year-old man was seriously injured after he was shot in an unprovoked attack at his home in Waterloo, Verulam tonight (Thursday 10/06/2021). 

At approximately 19:08 the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Verulam Operations Center received multiple calls from residents reporting the shooting. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were dispatched to Imbokodo Road and on arrival were informed that the injured male had been shot in the abdomen and leg. He was transported privately to a medical facility prior to the arrival of First Responders. 

According to residents, the victim was at his home when two men called out to him to move his vehicle which was parked on the road. The suspects then fired six shots in his direction before they fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. 

The motive for the shooting has not been confirmed at this stage.
