Two-vehicle collision leaves two injured in Boksburg

14 January 2022 | From Arrive Alive

This morning, two people were injured, one critically, when two light motor vehicles collided at the Trichard and Truter intersection in Boksburg.

ER24 and other services arrived at 06h15 to find one vehicle on the side of the road against a traffic light. A second vehicle was parked a short distance away on the side of the road.

On closer inspection, medics found two men, 18 and 45, lying trapped inside one vehicle. Medics assessed the patients and found that the young man was in a critical condition while the other man had sustained moderate injuries. The driver of the second vehicle, fortunately, escaped injury.

Rescue Services had to use specialised equipment to free the two men from the vehicle. Once released, medics treated the patients and provided the critically injured man with advanced life support before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
