The Police in Lulekani outside Phalaborwa are investigating a case of arson following an incident in which a vehicle and residential property were burned to ashes in the early hours of Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at around 03h40 in Lulekani Extension-B.

According to the report, the complainant was alerted by his partner after she heard some strange noise in the yard. When he went out to investigate, he realised that his BMW i20 that was parked in the garage was on fire and he called his neighbours for assistance. Unfortunately, the vehicle exploded, and the house caught fire as well. The fire brigade personnel worked tirelessly to extinguish the blaze, but the vehicle and the residential properties were completely destroyed.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
