Arrests made for fraud, possession of card scamming machines & reckless and negligent driving

JMPD TRU officers were conducting high-visibility crime prevention patrols in Rosebank. The officers received a  complaint of a lookout from Vumacam for a Silver Suzuki Swift with false registration numberplate used to commit crime (bank card scams). 

The officers searched & spotted the vehicle at Rivonia Road in Sandton with two male occupants. The officers approached the suspects. The suspects fled & a chase ensued. The suspects threw a black bag out the window of Suzuki. The officers stopped, picked it up & a chase continued.

The officers intercepted the vehicle & arrested the suspects for fraud, possession of card scamming machines & reckless and negligent driving at Alma & Bowling Road in Wendywood. Both suspects were detained at Sandton SAPS  & the vehicle was booked in at Aeroton SAPS Pound.

Lawlessness will not be tolerated in the City of Johannesburg!
