Mass shooting leaves four people dead in Sundumbili

Late on Monday night, IPSS Security and IPSS Medical Rescue responded to a mass shooting that had occurred inside a tavern in Sundumbili.
A total of eight people were shot during the incident, leaving four deceased on scene, including an off-duty SAPS member.
Five patients were rushed to a Sundumbili clinic, about 100m away.
Sadly, a second off-duty SAPS member passed away shortly after arrival.
The remaining four victims, sustaining injuries ranging from moderate to critical, were stabilised on the scene by IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support and clinic staff.
They were all transported to a more suitable facility for further care.
The motive behind the attack is currently unknown and will be subject to further investigation.
Condolences go out to the friends, family and colleagues of the deceased.
