Motorcyclist deceased after collision - R102 Fairbreeze, Tongaat

11 October 2025 | From Arrive Alive

Yesterday evening IPSS Medical Rescue received reports of a collision between a motorbike and a vehicle.

On arrival of paramedics it was established that a motorcyclist had collided head-on with an SUV, resulting in him being thrown approximately 50 meters into the nearby sugarcane.

Sadly, the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene. The occupants of the SUV were uninjured.

This morning, IPSS Search and Rescue received a request from SAPS to return to the scene of the accident as the mortuary had reported that the deceased was missing part of his lower leg.

After a short search the leg was recovered and handed over to SAPS.

Our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
