A father and his nine-year-old son sustained injuries following a serious three-vehicle collision on the R102 at the Canelands intersection in Verulam on Thursday afternoon.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports from passing motorists requesting urgent assistance.
Upon arrival, paramedics assessed and treated the injured child and his father on scene before transporting to a nearby medical facility for further care.
The circumstances leading up to the collision cannot be confirmed at this stage. Multiple emergency services were in attendance.
