EST and PVES responders, together with a PVES practitioner, attended the scene of a motorbike accident in Villieria.
On assessment, the patient was found to have sustained a suspected fracture of the left arm near the shoulder, and was experiencing significant pain.
An IV line was established, and analgesia (Penthrox) was administered for pain management. Gauteng Emergency Medical Services (GPG) were requested, and upon arrival, the patient was transported to hospital for further evaluation and care.
