A female has tragically lost her life following a pedestrian vehicle collision at the corner of Pandora Street and Pegasus Street, near Phoenix Plaza, on Saturday morning.

Emergency medical personnel and security teams from KZN VIP were dispatched to the scene after reports of a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a light motor vehicle.

Upon arrival, responders found that a female pedestrian had sustained fatal injuries after being struck by a light motor vehicle. Preliminary information suggests that the vehicle lost control before colliding with the pedestrian and pinning her against concrete retaining blocks.

Despite the rapid response of emergency services, the victim showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on scene by KZN VIP paramedics.

Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Metro Police also attended the scene and will be conducting the necessary investigations to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

KZN VIP extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time.

The circumstances leading up to the collision cannot be confirmed at this stage and remain subject to official investigation.
