On Wednesday morning at approximately 07h00, our Centurion crew responded to a mass casualty incident at the intersection of South Street and Heuwel Street in the Centurion CBD.
Two minibus taxis were involved in a collision, resulting in both vehicles overturning. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage and are subject to further investigation.
A total of 16 patients sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Multiple emergency services worked together to assess, treat, and transport the injured patients to various hospitals for further medical care.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to PRSS, ER24, Emergency Medical Solutions, Funcure, Ras911, the Tshwane Emergency Services Department, the Tshwane Metropolitan Police Department, First Help Towing, Precision Towing, and all other emergency personnel who assisted on scene. The coordinated response and teamwork displayed by all role players ensured that patients received prompt and professional care during this large-scale incident.
