Transport Minister to announce the 2019/20 mid-festive season road safety statistics and law enforcement operation outcomes

The Minister of Transport, Mr Fikile Mbalula will brief the media about the 2019/20 mid-festive season road safety statistics and law enforcement operation outcomes at a media briefing to be held at the Beitbridge border post in Musina, Limpopo on Monday, 23 December 2019.

Prior to the media briefing, Minister Mbalula will engage in the Cross-Alive Road Safety campaign outside the Beitbridge Border Post. Along with members of the media, the Minister will also be taken on a tour at the Beitbridge Border Post between South Africa and Zimbabwe in order to assess the cross-border operations at the port of entry during the festive season where traffic volumes are expected to be high. 

This Beitbridge border post is the busiest commercial entry post amongst all the borders that link South Africa with its neighboring countries.
