At 16h05  this afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the S190 between Fouriesburg and Bethlehem where school bus  with 21 passengers veered off the road and went down a steep embankment. Exact detail to the cause of the incident is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the bus had fortunately stayed on its wheels. With the uneven terrain however the children was thrown around  but escaped with only minor injuries. Medics treated them at the scene before transporting them to hospitals in Bethlehem for the care that they required.
