The President of South Africa of the Republic of South Africa, his excellency, Cyril Ramaphosa during his walkabout at the African Growth and Opportunity Act Forum (AGOA) “Made in Africa” exhibition at the Johannesburg Expo Centre at the SATMC - South African Tyre Manufacturing Conference stand.
Nduduzo Chala, SATMC Managing Executive gave him a brief on the tyre value chain, the #HomegrownDrivingLocal initiative and the investment commitments made by the four members namely: Bridgestone SA, Continental Tyres SA, Goodyear Goodyear SA, and Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (Pty) Ltd manufacturers of Dunlop Tyres SA and Falken Tyres South Africa.
Trade in the African continent and America is critical for South Africa and local companies. The “Made in Africa” exhibition showcased deeper trade within and between the African countries. This important for our autos industry as we move forward with the opportunities provided by the AfCTA.
