Midlands EMS Howick crews were dispatched to the Karkloof area for a mountain bike accident.
Upon arrival, the patient was found to be in a serious condition requiring urgent advanced life support treatment and specialized rescue equipment to move him.
Once stabilized, the patient was transported to a nearby specialist hospital for further care.
