On Friday evening, IPSS Medical Rescue and IPSS Search & Rescue responded to reports of a serious head on collision on the M4, on the Durban side of the Sibiya circle.
The M4 was closed, as IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the two drivers, who are both in a critical condition.
The passenger of the one vehicle, sustained moderate injuries, and was stabilised by paramedics, while she was extricated from the wreckage.
All patients have been transported to hospital for the further care they require.
