An IPSS S&R TONGAAT Volunteer was in the Effingham area when he witnessed a single vehicle lose control before knocking into a group of children.
He immediately responded and advised emergency services. Upon arrival, it was established that a single vehicle had lost control before knocking into a group of children who were seated on the pavement before stopping in a yard.
A 14-year-old was assessed and had suffered moderate injuries. She was treated by IPSS S&R TONGAAT before being transported to the hospital by KZN VIP. The rest of the children were uninjured. The accident will be investigated by the SAPS.
Thank you to Swift Security, Blue Security, Marshall Security, KZN VIP, an off-duty fireman who stopped to render assistance and IPSS S&R TONGAAT for the quick response.
