IPSS Medical Rescue received reports of a child who had fallen from a horse.
On arrival of paramedics, it was established that a young girl had been thrown from the horse she was riding, landing on a fence, which resulted in her sustaining critical injuries.
The girl was stabilised on scene by IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support paramedics before being airlifted to a specialised facility by the Netcare911 helicopter.
