A police constable and a former SAPS sergeant were shot and killed yesterday in an apparent assassination at the Mthwalume home of the ex-officer on the KZN South Coast.
Both victims were found next to an SUV with multiple gunshot wounds. It is believed that more than 16 shots were fired during the attack. Despite a large sum of cash and their cellphones being left behind, no firearms were found at the scene.
The Hawks have taken over the investigation.
