
Road Safety Partnership South Africa is running a 3-year Safe-to-School-Safe-to-Home Scholar Transport program sponsored by Toyota South Africa Motors (Pty) Ltd.
The program is currently on phase 3 and involving around 150 scholar transport drivers from eThekwini region and covers the following:
1. Rules of the road and major road safety risks factors.
2. Fire-fighting training
3. Vehicle safety and maintenance.
4.Save a Life First Aid training - A customized first-aid training specifically for scholar transport drivers.
Netstar car tracker, one of the biggest tracking company is South Africa has partnered with RSP ZA on the scholar transport project in terms of providing telemetrics that will be monitoring the scholar vehicles drivers. On the 9th of September 2020, the team had a tracking telemetry orientation with 50 scholar transport drivers at Amanzimtoti Civic Centre, in KwaZulu-Natal province.
It remains the vision of RSP ZA to have a South Africa that is free of road crashes, death and injuries.
