Woman declared dead after a fatal drowning in Hurlingham, Johannesburg

A 46-year-old woman was declared dead this afternoon following a fatal drowning incident at a house in Hurlingham in Johannesburg.
When ER24 arrived on the scene just after 14H00, they found the woman at the bottom of the pool showing no signs of life. It is believed that the woman had been submerged for a prolonged period of time. The police retrieved the woman from the pool and she was declared dead at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known, but the police were on scene and will investigate the incident.
