SUV crashed into tree killing man 10km outside of Welkom.

A man, believed to be in his 50s, was killed yesterday when his SUV crashed into a tree on the R34 approximately 10km outside of Welkom.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the vehicle on the side of the road against a tree on the side of the road. The vehicle had burst into flame and was well alight.
Fire Services were on the scene to extinguish the blaze. Shortly after, paramedics found the body of a man lying inside the vehicle. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
