26 Injured in Old Paarl Road collision in Bloekombos

At least 26 people were injured this morning when a light motor vehicle and a light duty truck collided with each other on Old Paarl Road in Bloekombos. 

Shortly before 7am paramedics arrived on the scene where they found five people that sustained minor to moderate injuries from the light motor vehicle. Three people were ejected from the light duty truck and found near the vehicle. Majority of the occupants from the light duty truck sustained minor to moderate injuries. 

All of the occupants were treated on scene and later transported to various hospitals in the area for further care. It is understood that the occupants of the light duty truck were on their way to work when the collision occurred.

Local authorities attended the scene.
