Three injured in N3 crash

Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the N3 Eastern bypass in Bedfordview.
Reports from the scene indicate that two light motor vehicles were involved in a collision with one of the vehicle landing on its roof.
Three patients were assessed on scene by medics and found to be in a stable condition.
Once treated all the patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

2 Cyclists knocked down in a hit-and-run incident, both sustaining moderate injuries. The vehicle subsequently crashed further down the road.

On Saturday morning, IPSS Search & Rescue, NSRI and the KDM Lifeguards responded to Salmon Bay beach after receiving reports of man that had gotten into difficulty while swimming.
KDM Lifeguards and NSRI launched jet skis and a boat in an attempt to locate the swimmer.

A 55-year-old hiker received some unexpected help in Newlands Forest on Friday morning after a passing Good Samaritan spotted him in difficulty just off the trail.
