Three injured in boating accident on the Vaal River

Three people were left injured this afternoon in a boating accident on the Vaal River in Vaalpark.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 17h30 to find the boat parked on the nearby jetty. A man and two women were found seated nearby.
Medics assessed the patients and fund that all three had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
It is understood that the driver lost control of the boat, causing it t crash into the R57 pillars in near the shore of the river.
